Registration of OPC Servers

Registration of OPC Servers

As a rule, OPC clients use a Windows registry in order to find OPC servers installed. Therefore, an OPC server must be registered in a registry; otherwise OPC clients cannot connect to it.

When installing MasterOPC Universal Modbus Server, such a registration is performed automatically:

mbul   OPC DA server:

mbul   ProgID = InSAT.ModbusOPCServer.DA;

mbul   CLSID = {F5EB9AFF-96EA-403F-B129-65235F8BB8B8};

mbul   OPC HDA server:

mbul   ProgID = InSAT.ModbusOPCServer.HDA;

mbul   CLSID = {f18a6209-45b0-472c-8415-2f7d088de9ff}.

If required, you can register\unregister servers manually, using the respective shortcuts (see Description of Shortcuts ).

When installing, MasterOPC Universal Modbus Server is not registered as a service. To do this, use the respective shortcut (see Description of Shortcuts ).
