The GOOSE protocol is another protocol of the standard IEC61850. GOOSE stands for "Generic Object-Oriented Substation Event". The principle of GOOSE operation is based on transmission of broadcast telegrams to a large number of recipients. Each recipient can choose what data from a telegram received are required.
The GOOSE device added is a device configured by a user. Tags are added manually.
The device contains the default tag Failure in the Diagnosis group. That tag cannot be deleted; its value becomes True if communication with the device is missing.
