Tags can be imported using a dedicated graphical utility. You can open by selecting Add - Protocol tags (import) in context menu of the device.
The utility window appears. Click Open button in menu and select file generated in GX Works. Tags will be added to the table. If file contains variables that cannot be imported, these are marked with red color and can not be added to the configuration. In out case all variables are available for import.
Set flags for all variables that you want to import into your project. In the table you can use batch selection of rows or set/remove flags for all selected rows. This allows you to quickly handle the desired tags. Also, they can be sorted.
Also you can set the type of access for variables. Access type can be modified by clicking Access type column of the desired variable:
Or you can modify access type for group of variables simultaneously:
Note. Please remember, that only certain variables support write capability!
After selecting all the desired tags, click Import. The utility closes and tags are added to the OPC server.
Now, tags import procedure is finished.
