PROFINET is an open protocol of industrial control systems. PROFINET use TCP/IP networks (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, etc.) as an interface.
The SiemensPLC plugin is provided to interrogate Siemens controllers of S7 series (S7-200, S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200, S7-1500).
To provide protocol functions, you should create the SIEMENSPLC node (see The 'Add Protocol' Command ) (a node type is PROGRAM – see Node Types ):
In that node, you should create the siemensplc device (see The 'Add Device' Command ).
