A protocol tag is provided to receive data from a controller or to write data to a controller. To add a tag, use a context menu of a device/group.
A tag of the FINS protocol has the following main settings:
•Memory Area – memory area of a variable polled
•Memory Address – a variable address in the memory area
Depending on memory area chosen, the following extra settings are available:
•Data Type – a data type of a variable
•Bit Address - number of a bit extracted (for areas Bit, Complemetation Flag, Status)
•String length - a string length (if a data type chosen is STRING)
Other tag parameters are standard ones (see The Dialog of Tag Parameters ).
